The Beginning of the End

Alex: When the Holders War started in 2467, it was because of an attack by an alien race called the Onaga. They had weapons that were more accurate and more deadly than our own, rendering our guns absolutely useless. It was then, when the UN was scrounging up the dirt for answers, that the CIA revealed it had a solution: The SCP Project. With the UN having no other alternative, they went ahead with plan. The CIA assigned their best SCP Agents to become SCP Users. But it just wasn’t enough. Most of the SCP’s were too uncontrollable, too unpredictable, too dangerous, or just couldn’t even be used as weapons. So, the CIA revealed another project they had call The Holders. Even though The Holders’ powers had never even been tested before, they were put on active duty and sent to the front lines. They ended up being used as Super Soldiers. They were used as weapons of mass destruction. They were used to win the war.

Joy: Years after the war, the UN designed and created spaceships capable of interstellar travel using technology they recovered from the wreckage of the Onagan Empire’s once great Planet Buster. After that, the human race began settling amongst the stars, leaving Earth behind in the dust, a war torn heap. Eventually, all knowledge of the SCP’s and Holders died out, and it just became a myth. An urban legend. A conspiracy theory.

Blake: We were told after the war to keep silent. To keep a low profile. Stay under the radar, and never use our powers unless in a life or death situation. Most of us decided to live on a settlement made specifically for SCP Users and Holders called “The Mansion”. Others gave up the legal right to use their powers in any situation, no matter how dire. And in exchange they were allowed to live however they pleased.

John: And so, for 1000 years, mankind lived in peace. There were no wars because everyone was learning how to survive in the final frontier. But this peace ended in the year 3147. But that’s another story, a tale to be told at another time, on some other day.

All: Now, this is our story.
